The first Annual Monster Dash 5K Race, sponsored by Nash County Government and the Town of Nashville, yielded great results for United Way Tar River Region.  The 5K race was held on October 26, 2013, in downtown Nashville.  Approximately 300 participants from the local community and across the state joined together for the cause of improving lives through United Way. A check in the amount of $7,283.89 was presented to Ginny Mohrbutter, executive director for United Way.
