TAR RIVER CHEFS SHOWCASE

 

             MAIN EVENT DETAILS               

The Tar River Chefs Showcase is a signature fundraiser for United Way Tar River Region.  On Thursday, April 23, 2020, 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, at Nash Community College’s Brown Auditorium, our finest local restaurants/ venues and their chefs will provide culinary tastings for 400+ participants to enjoy.  New this year, venues will pair their foods with local craft breweries as this event will showcase our growing culinary scene around the twin counties.

Event goers will enjoy the tastings and have a chance to vote on “The Top Chef/ Venue” and “Best Brew”.   Local celebrities will host the event, and we will have an event booklet promoting the venues and other event details.  We will have a live auction showcasing 5-7 larger packages with auctioneer Parker Phillips.   A silent auction will also be available, mainly focusing on food and cooking items.  Live jazz by 7th Hour Grooves Band will play throughout the evening.

The VIP Reception will begin at 5:30 PM, hosted by Benvenue Country Club; which includes sparkling wines and french appetizers, as well as door prizes and gifts.  Event goers will enjoy this reception in addition to the Main Event.
