Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year

Nia faced many hardships growing up. But the Boys & Girls Club became a safe haven for her. Her participation has allowed her an avenue to deal with hardships and broadcast her talents. Because of this United Way program, Nia is motivated to reach her full potential.

 

Dana Langley

Before enrolling into The Wright’s Center program, Dana faced depression. However, after two years of participating in this program, her overall attitude has improved tremendously. She interacts with people and participates in activities daily. She especially likes playing DOMINOES. These are activities that her family could not provide at home. Because of this United Way program, Dana is thriving.

 

 

Jimmie Humphrey

Mr. Jimmie Humphrey lost his wife several years ago and admits that he never learned to cook. Once his health began to decline, preparing meals was a challenge for him. Now, through Meals on Wheels, nutritious meals are delivered to Mr. Humphrey everyday. The meals help him stay healthy and allow him to maintain his independence at home.
