Homelessness Navigator Program

United Way Tar River Region is proud to announce the launch of its Homelessness Navigation & Community Resource Coordination Program, designed to support individuals and families experiencing homelessness by improving access to essential services and strengthening community partnerships. The program features dedicated Homelessness Navigators who will provide direct assistance, maintain the region’s Community Resource Guide, and collaborate with local nonprofits, faithbased organizations, and government agencies to improve coordination of services.

The Homelessness Navigators will help individuals and families connect to emergency shelter, transitional housing, mental health services, employment programs, and other critical resources. The program also aims to identify gaps in services and support new funding opportunities to strengthen the region’s homelessness response system.

A representative will be available each Wednesday (9:30 am - 12 Noon) at Braswell Memorial Library.  For more information, visit www.unitedwaytrr.org or call the United Way Tar River Region at (252) 937-2213.
