Instructions to apply to the Twin-County Tornado Recovery Fund

Thank you for visiting the United Way webite to learn more about the Twin County Tornado Recovery Fund.  We know this has been a difficult time after such a life-changing event.  We are working to mobilize resources as quickly as possible to support you.

The Fund is available to Nash, Edgecombe, and Rocky Mount residents whose homes and/or personal property were damaged as a result of the tornado.

Fund Priority Areas:

  • Debris & Residential Clean up Support:  Large trees are down, much vegetation and other debris (roofs, wood, pieces of housing, etc.) are scattered around our community.  We will respond with funds to help with clean up and proper disposal of these items.
  • Supporting Financial & Basic Needs:  Funds will help affected citizens, at minimum, with meeting their basic needs. This could include utility deposits to assist with alternative housing, help with storage fees for personal items, personal vehicles damaged (apart from the Pfizer facility), or basic needs directly related to impact from the disaster.
  • Housing Supports-Short-term & Long-Term and House Repairs: Funds will help individuals have both their short-term and long-term housing needs met.  It will also help with house repairs, rebuilds, insurance deductibles, and other property damage.

If you and/or your personal property have been impacted by the tornado, complete the form below:
